Elite ties up payment system deal with Advantage

Saturday, 18 Jan, 2008 0

Advantage Travel Centres’ Central Advantage Payment System is to be used by rival consortium The Elite Travel group.

The use of CAPS will mean Elite member agents will only have to make payments to suppliers every two weeks rather than weekly, thereby improving their cash flow.

Elite general manager Nigel Ham said: “Our policy in 2008 is to work closely with other consortia to the mutual benefit of improving business.

“This will give Elite members an alternative method of paying suppliers on a fortnightly basis and will significantly improve our members back office systems.”

He added: “It would be pointless for Elite to ‘re-invent the wheel’ when the Advantage CAPS scheme works very well already.

“John McEwan and his Advantage colleagues have been extremely forthcoming in helping us change over to a much improved and easier system of payments to travel suppliers.

“We will continue dialogue with Advantage and other consortia throughout the year.”
