Emirates on recruitment drive
Emirates Group is looking to recruit staff from the UK as part of a drive to hire over 11,000 new staff in the coming year across its businesses.
The recruitment drive will increase its overall workforce by 6% by March 2016.
Around half of the new recruits will be Dubai-based cabin crew for Emirates airline.
In a bid to find 450 new pilots, it is holding pilot recruitment roadshows at London Heathrow on March 8 and at Gatwick on March 9.
Other jobs available at the airline are in flight operations, engineering, airport services and corporate functions.
Meanwhile, dnata is also seeking talent for its growing business, particularly airport operations, engineering and commercial business development.
Just under 3,500 British staff are already employed by Emirates as pilots, cabin crew, engineers and support staff.
There are currently 1,811 Dubai-based cabin crew from the UK, while Emirates also employs over 687 people across its five major UK gateways – Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, London Heathrow and Gatwick.
There are also 350 multilingual customer service agents at the Emirates customer contact centre in Manchester.

Last year, Emirates received nearly 483,944 online applications for over 2,000 jobs, from over 227 countries.
In the UK alone, Emirates received 147,667 online applications for jobs last year.
