Five UK firms sign for PlacesToStay hotel content
Online hotel booking service PlacesTo Stay is to provide content to five UK travel firms.
The deals have been secured following an agreement with technology solutions provider Ramedian.
Ramedian will supply inventory from FEXCO AllTravel’s PlacesToStay hotel reservation programme to Real Choice Travel, Holiday Express, Travelup, HPS Hotel Reservations and Lee’s Travel Club. PlacesToStay offers real-time booking capability to more than 25,000 hotels.
The agreements come seven months after FEXCO AllTravel head of distribution and business development Tim Wright, signed an inventory integration agreement with GoQuo (www.goquo.com), the Ramedian–owned travel technology company.
GoQuo develops and implements customised integrated products – GQDynamic, a dynamic packaging solution for travel agents and portal owners; GQAgent, an electronic booking engine and fare management system for travel agents; and GQConsol, an electronic fare management and distribution service for consolidators.
Wright said: “Inventory integration agreements with technology partners are an important and valuable way for PlacesToStay.com increase its penetration of the UK trade market. This major marketing route gets us in the door with many more agency businesses, while our technology partners are able to offer richer content and therefore opportunity.”
GoQuo managing director Ron Ramanan added: “Working with an established content provider like PlacesToStay is a natural move for any travel technology provider. Partnering with PlacesToStay expands and ultimately complements the product offering of our clients.”
