Golden Chain starts the New Year and joins the party with a BANG!!
One of Australia’s largest accommodation groups, Golden Chain, will start 2007 with a spectacular involvement in the telecast of the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, having purchased 30-second commercials on the big screens erected at five locations in Sydney and Melbourne where families traditionally watch the New Year’s Eve celebrations and the build-up to it.
A total of 288 commercials will be scattered throughout the 48-hours of the telecast helping Golden Chain to further establish its dominance of the accommodation market throughout Australia,
Goldne Chains GM Bryan White, said the move is designed to build greater awareness of Golden Chain and its Australian ownership as well as its spread throughout Australia, adding, “We’re all Australian, all over Australia, with more than 320 properties scattered throughout the country”.
“It is time Australian learnt about their own country before they travel overseas and we’ll be suggesting they make a point of touring Australia during their holidays.”
“With more than 2,500 things to see and do at our locations around Australia, we can provide a holiday that will be at least the equal of any other holiday in world.”
Mr White added “Golden Chain is putting its money where its mouth is and challenging State and Territory Governments to follow its lead in promoting domestic tourism.”
He said too many governments had consistently reduced their spending on domestic tourism only to duplicate the job of Tourism Australia by spending money on attracting International tourists, adding, “Our New Year’s Eve party will get around 2.5 million exposures and we believe that is the type of activity State governments should be doing as well.”
Golden Chain now has more properties owned and operated by Australians in more locations throughout Australia than any other comparable accommodation group.
