Guests arrested after drugs bust on Indian cruise ship
New Indian cruise operator Cordelia Cruises issued a statement distancing itself from a high profile drugs bust during a sailing at the weekend. The company said it was ‘not directly or indirectly connected to this incident’ after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested eight guests.
The incident gained huge local media exposure as one of the arrested is the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. The anti-drugs agency had apparently received a tip-off and had been conducting undercover investigations for days. The Cordelia Cruises ship had been chartered for a private sailing.
