Hawaiian Airlines appoints Australia and New Zealand director
US carrier Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Gai Tyrrell to a newly created position of regional director for Australia and New Zealand.
Tyrell, who will be based in Sydney, brings more than 20 years of airline and travel industry experience to the role, previously serving as Pacific regional CEO at Sabre.
She has also served in management roles at Jetset Travelworld Group, Flight Centre and Qantas Airways.
"We are pleased to have Gai join our international sales team as we continue to maximize our company’s growth in the Australia and New Zealand markets," said Theo Panagiotoulias, Hawaiian Airlines SVP – global sales and alliances.
Hawaiian Airlines has operated nonstop from Honolulu to Sydney for a decade, and earlier this year expanded to four flights a week between Honolulu and Brisbane, Australia.
