HomeRez gets funding for expansion and development
HomeRez, which provides technology to help holiday home owners sell their properties through various rental websites, has secured €4 million in funding.
The group said it will allocate a significant amount to developing its technology, improving processes, platforms, and expanding distribution.
The rest will be allocated to international expansion.
The group, which is based in Paris, said it will begin operating new overseas offices later this year.
HomeRez, the brainchild of three former Booking.com directors, was launched in January 2014 and now handles the bookings for several thousand vacation rental owners over 100 global sites, including Homeaway, Airbnb, Booking.com, and Tripadvisor.
The fundraising was conducted with Entrepreneur Venture, XAnge and business angels, including Nicolas Brumelot (founder Go Voyage, founder MisterFly), David Roche (ex president Hotels.com) Pablo Szefner (Justfab) and Frederic Halley.
Bertrand Folliet, partner at Entrepreneur Venture, said: "Homerez provides an effective solution to help holiday rental owners save time and increase their revenue.
"The extremely rapid growth in the number of clients working with HomeRez demonstrates the relevance of the service they offer. We have also been convinced by the founders who have a strong experience and expertise in the tourism industry."
