IHG restores all booking systems after hack
InterContinental Hotels Group said it finally reactivated all its booking systems, three weeks after disclosing a data breach.
The hotel chain again said and there is no evidence of any ‘unauthorised access’ to guests ‘personal data.
“During the disruption in our central systems, IHG-branded hotels continued to operate and were able to take reservations directly.”
“We have continued to carry out additional steps as part of our recovery and assurance plans to enhance our security measures,” IHG said.
“We have also reported the criminal activity to law enforcement.”
Some IHG franchisees filed a lawsuit in the US against the company after the cyber-attack because booking channels were ‘significantly disrupted ‘they allege.
