In a hurry? Watch for these speed traps
In Alabama, it’s Montgomery. In Alaska, it’s Anchorage. And in California, it’s Fresno.
The National Motorists Association (NMA) listed those as among the US’s worst speed trap cities among the country’s 50 states.
“Nothing can ruin a vacation more quickly than an undeserved speeding ticket,” says NMA who adds it publicizes the speed traps as a “public service.”
Results are drawn from two sources: an online poll on the NMA network of Web sites, and an analysis of the postings on www.speedtrap. org over the last two years.
“All motorists would be well-advised to keep these locations in mind while driving this holiday,” suggests the site.
