Jet2 expands Manchester network
Jet2.com is adding Alicante to its planned network of flights from Manchester.
The low cost carrier announced nine routes from Manchester seven weeks ago and claims to have sold more than 100,000 seats.
The airline has now added the Spanish Costa Blanca destination with flights due to start on March 27 next year.
Jet2.com also plans three flights a day from Manchester to Gatwick from January 17, giving a total of 11 routes form the North West hub by next year.
The airline’s first flight from Manchester is on December 1.
Jet2.com is part of aviation services and distribution group Dart and serves 14 European destinations from Leeds/Bradford and three from Belfast International.
