JetBlue mulling relocation to Florida
Dubbing itself ‘New York’s hometown airline’ JetBlue is pondering a corporate move away from New York to the Sunshine State. The airline says it is considering moving its HQ to Florida and a decision will be made later this year.
The airline said its current lease in New York expires in July 2023, and is ‘considering how our space requirements may evolve in a hybrid work environment post-pandemic.’ Its Long Island City corporate office currently employs 1,300.
JetBlue said it is considering whether to stay at its current headquarters, move to another location in New York City, or relocate some positions to its facilities in Florida. The airline’s travel products division is based in Fort Lauderdale and it has a training center in Orlando.
