Jumeirah inks deal with Expedia
Jumeirah Group hotels will be available on all Expedia and hotels.com branded points of sale following a deal struck by the two travel companies.
The long term global agreement marks the first time the Dubai-based hospitality company has collaborated with an online player.
With Jumeirah forging ahead with growth plans in the Middle East – it has projects currently underway in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Aqaba and Doha and is also expanding in Phuket, Shanghai, Mallorca, London and Argentina – enhanced distribution in order to reach more potential customers is high on its agenda.
Expedia EMEA vice president of market management Murad Hajeebhoy said: “This partnership is strategic to both Jumeirah and Expedia, as we continue to expand our global footprints respectively.â€
Jumeirah hotels will access Expedia’s global online travel marketplace through Expedia(R)Connect, Expedia’s direct connection solution for chain hotels. In turn, Expedia customers can book accommodation at Jumeirah Group’s hotels and resorts worldwide.
