KLM to launch service to Trondheim, Norway
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced today the launch of twice-daily round-trip service between Amsterdam and the Norwegian city of Trondheim.
KLM will start service with the 2003 summer schedule on March 30, 2003. The commuter service will be operated by KLM’s regional affiliate, KLM cityhopper.
KLM said the early morning and evening lights will provide Norwegian business travellers with the opportunity to travel on business for the day and return home the same evening. The flights will also provide convenient connections with services on the global network operated by KLM and partner airlines from the Amsterdam Schiphol hub.
Trondheim is the fifth Norwegian destination served by KLM from Amsterdam. The other destinations are Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, and Torp.
The announcement of the new service follows behind the announcement of KLM’s August 25, 2002 launch of service between the Scottish city of Aberdeen and Stavanger in Norway. This service will also be operated twice daily as a commuter service.
