lastminute.com creates new marketing role
Lastminute.com has created a new role of chief marketing officer to lead the company’s marketing activities Europe and Asia across the Travelocity, lastminute.com, Holiday Autos and Zuji brands.
It has appointed Sarah Bartlett, formerly of search site Ask.com, to the role. Prior to joining Ask.com, she spent seven years with BT holding a number of senior marketing roles.
Reporting to Travelocity International president Matthew Crummack, the CMO role was created following a strategic review of the company’s operations in Europe and Asia to ensure marketing activities were leveraged across both regions to support the company’s growth plans.
Crummack said: "Sarah is joining lastminute.com at an exciting time as we start to see the business return to growth once more and excel in the online travel space.
"An experienced global marketeer she brings deep knowledge and experience of leading a global marketing function in the online sector."
