Liverpool heading Down Under
Liverpool Football Club have confirmed they will visit Australia for the first time and will play a friendly game against Melbourne Victory at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) on July 24.
Liverpool will travel to Australia as part of their pre-season tour of Asia in preparation for the 2013-14 season.
Tickets go on general sale on April 11 at 9am and can be purchased from ticketek.
This is one of several sporting events taking place in Melbourne this year that will see Australian teams pitted against their British rivals.
The British & Irish Lions rugby tour brings two games to Melbourne in late June and the England cricket team will take on Australia at the Boxing Day Test at the MCG as part of the Ashes Tour in December.
