Love Islanders hit by Ryanair delays
The Love Island finalists were among thousands of passengers caught up in Ryanair flight delays yesterday, which the airline blamed on bad weather in Europe.
Winners Jack and Dani on Ryanair flight home
The show’s winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham were snapped sitting on the floor at Palma airport with six of their fellow contestants as they waited for their delayed Ryanair flight from Majorca to Stansted.
More than 150 flights were cancelled or delayed to and from Stansted. The Love Islanders’ flight eventually landed back in the UK an hour and 20 minutes late.
Ryanair said yesterday’s delays were exacerbated by Air Traffic Control staff shortages in Germany, France, Greece and Croatia.
Former Emirates’ cabin crew member Laura Anderson, who was one of the runners- up on the hit ITV2 show, was greeted in the UK by friends and family.
