Lowcostbeds give single parent donation to FHA
Lowcostbeds.com has teamed up with the Family Holiday Association charity to help give holidays to families in need.
It has agreed to make a donation for every booking it receives for single parent family hotels after launching a programme specifically for parents travelling on their own with children.
"Part of our vision is to work in partnership with others to increase the number of families that gain access to holidays and lowcost have been fantastic in creating this new opportunity to support single parent families," said John McDonald, director of Family Holiday Association.
"Not only will it make a difference to the actual holiday-makers but the donation will contribute to our work in helping very disadvantaged families have access to breaks, building happier and stronger families."
Tim Buckman, the UK managing director for lowcosttravelgroup, said: "The ideals of the Family Holiday Association are admirable. We were drawn to working with them when trying to find a solution to bringing down the holiday cost for single parents.
"I believe this is only the start of our relationship with the charity and we look forward to helping many more families have access to what others already benefit from."
The Family Holiday Association helps over 2,000 families a year to have a break in the UK and escape the stresses of bereavement, poverty, chronic illness, inadequate housing or domestic violence.
