Majestic American Line combines two US river cruising companies
Two American river and coastal cruising companies — American West Steamboat Company and Delta Queen Steamboat Company — have combined operations under one brand, Majestic American Line.
Majestic will be composed of a fleet of six US-flagged, American-crewed cruise ships.
Waterways and rivers include the dramatic Stikine River, known as one of the last wild rivers in North America (in Alaska).
The Majestic fleet includes the American Queen, the world’s largest stern wheel cruise ship, and the Empress of the North, the first sternwheeler to cruise Alaska’s Inside Passage in more than a century.
Majestic will offer more than 215 departures and calls at 70 port cities in 19 different states.
The combined companies will begin operating under the new name later this year.
