Maldives resort Vakkaru introduces jungle cinema
Luxury Maldives resort Vakkaru has added two new offerings in time for the festive season
It introduces the Jungle Cinema experience.
The Jungle Cinema seats up to 10 people for private screenings.
With two screenings each night (at 7.30pm and 9.30pm), moviegoers can choose from a wide selection of movie genres.
It includes free-flowing soft drinks and popcorn, or a set menu dinner.
Maldives has recovered strongly from the pandemic.
The Maldives resort also introduces new teppanyaki restaurant Anguru.
It is its sixth food and beverage outlet offering an interactive dining experience.
The restaurant’s name celebrates the island’s heritage as a coconut plantation which is still home to 2,300 coconut trees today.
Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant seats 10 diners and serves an à la carte menu for lunch and set menus for dinner.
The à la carte menu offers a selection of sushi, maki rolls, nigiri and sashimi to start the meal.
For mains, diners can choose premium meats and fresh seafood, including Australian Wagyu, Angus beef and Maldivian lobster.
Set menus include the sumptuous Surf & Turf set.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve and elevate the experiences,” Iain McCormack, General Manager of Vakkaru Maldives, said.
“Both Jungle Cinema and the Anguru Teppanyaki restaurant have been refined with singular attention to detail.”
