McKenzie to leave IHG
IHG Australasia chief operating officer Bruce McKenzie has resigned after eight years with the company.
He will remain in the role until June 30, after which he will be replaced as interim leader by Bill Edwards, stepping up from his current position as director of operations NSW, ACT, VIC, SA & New Zealand.
McKenzie joined IHG in the regional VP role in China in 2004, before relocating to Australia in 2009.
He plans to take a break with his family before determining the next stage in his career.
InterContinental Hotel Group COO, Asia Australasia, Clarence Tan said McKenzie had made "an extraordinary impact on IHG, first in Greater China and later here in Australasia.
"The Australasian business has thrived under his leadership."
