MGM Las Vegas hotels to resume full hotel operations
Three MGM Las Vegas Strip hotels will resume seven days a week operations next month.
The Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, and Mirage will resume full hotel operations from 3 March, 24-hours a day, every day of the week.
In November the properties closed midweek hotel operations due to low demand.
The company has a positive outlook for increased tourism to Sin City with vaccinations ramping up.
"We remain optimistic about Las Vegas’ recovery and our ability to bring employees back to work as business volumes allow us to do so," CEO Bill Hornbuckle said.
The seven-day rolling average of new Covid infections is at its lowest level for several months and the CDC says nearly 60 million vaccinations have been performed.
MGM is also set to reopen several of its live stage shows under Covid restrictions.
In 2020, only 19 million people visited Las Vegas, which is 55% down on the previous year, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
