Mobilizing the Attractions Marketplace
Hello,
I’m writing to propose a contributed article for TravelMole, written by Cecilia Dahl, President and Co-Founder of Smart Destinations, the company that’s changing the landscape of the attraction distribution industry, through the creation of a single platform for attraction ticketing. It is also the first company in the space to address the growing consumer demand for mobile products.
In the contributed byline, Cecilia will identify and discuss the latest challenges facing the industry, including the disaggregated nature of the attractions marketplace, and the staggering market opportunity to better connect the entire channel, from attractions to consumers to agents. She will also address how these challenges and opportunities can be successfully addressed by leveraging the mobile channel (which the attractions industry has been slow to adopt!)—especially because travelers typically purchase attractions passes on the fly, just days in advance of their visit. The article will also draw from Smart Destinations’ first-hand experiences including insight from attractions, customers and agents.
An outline of the proposed contributed piece follows below for your review.
Since founding Smart Destinations with co-founder Kevin McLaughlin in 2003 Cecila has emerged as one of most innovative leaders in the attractions industry. What’s more, the Company has grown to become the premier provider of unlimited admission sightseeing passes in 15 major North American travel destination, and is continuously innovating in order to stay on the forefront of the industry. To this point, I’m sure Cecilia’s experience and insight would be compelling and informational for your readers.
Please let me know if you’re interested in moving forward with the byline (or if you’d like to modify the topic a bit—we’re flexible). I look forward to your feedback.
Regards,
Erika
