Now on sale: world’s most expensive cruise
At $1.92 million a couple, it’s likely the world’s most expensive luxury cruise. The cruise onboard Silversea ship Silver Whisper leaves Los Angeles next January and visits 28 countries over 124 days, says Travel Bite.
Couples will be flown from their home by helicopter to a London airport where they will dine on Beluga Caviar. Couples will then fly to the United States by private charter onboard a Boeing business jet that features mahogany paneling and gold-plated fixtures. During the flight a Michelin star chef will create a 10 course tasting menu for the couple.
Once at sea the pair will stay in Silver Whisper's Royal Suite, which has two bedrooms, two marbled bathrooms, dining area and two balconies, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Six Star Cruises company director Mal Barritt said that despite worldwide economic uncertainty, he believes this holiday package will sell well.
"We have listened to what some of our most discerning customers say they look for in a holiday and have created the most desirable cruise holiday in the world," he said in a statement.
Can't afford the price tag? A 115-day cruise staying in the Ocean View Vista Suite for $57,277 per person is also available. It costs less than $50,000.
