Number of Americans fully vaccinated passes 100 million
The number of Americans vaccinated has reached a key milestone. There are now 100 million fully vaccinated Americans which equates to 39% of the adult population, according to the CDC.
More than 55% of adults have received at least one dose but around 8% of these have failed to return for the second shot.
"Make sure you get that second dose," Dr. Anthony Fauci said at a White House press briefing. Fauci says about 70% to 85% of the population would need to be vaccinated to reach herd immunity.
