Pakistan International Airlines plane seized

A Boeing-777 jet operated by flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines has been seized at Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia.
It was seized over a failure to keep up aircraft lease payments.
The seizure was approved at a Malaysia court hearing.
The non-payment amounts to around $4 million, Pakistan media reported.
PIA disputes this.
An airline spokesperson said PIA actually owns the Boeing 777 aircraft.
The dispute relates to the engines and the lessor submitted false facts to the court,
The struggling airline more than doubled its losses for the first quarter of 2023.
