Princess Cruises to air Hannah Waddingham ‘Love Boat’ ad

Actress Hannah Waddingham is setting sail with Princess Cruises in “Love Boat by Hannah,” a new ad campaign debuting in the UK on Valentine’s Day.

Waddingham breathes new life into one of the most recognisable theme songs to celebrate the romance of a Princess voyage.

The 30-second ad will air nationwide from February 14 through to March 16 during peak times on ITV1, ITV Digital, Channel 4, Channel 4 Digital, and Sky Media.

In “Love Boat by Hannah,” Waddingham reimagines the iconic theme song from The Love Boat, the hit ABC series that ran from 1977 to 1986.

Hays Travel will be utilising the ad across its social media and brand TV screens from March 3 through to March 16.

Hayley Moore, sales director Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “We are so excited to introduce Princess Cruises to an audience who may have never considered taking a cruise before, but who will most certainly know British icon Hannah Waddingham.”

“Travel agents interested in maximising the “Love Boat by Hannah” ad campaign for their customers should contact their Princess Cruises sales manager.”

In 2024, Waddingham was named Godmother of Sun Princess, the newest addition to the Princess Cruises fleet.
