QE2 to sail again
The QE2 will sail again as it travels from Dubai to China where it will be converted into a 400-room floating hotel.
An overhaul of its engines has already begun, according to the owners, and the ship is expected to sail from the Middle East under its own steam in October.
However, it hasn’t yet been revealed where the historic ocean liner will be moored once it has been converted into a hotel.
It is hoped the QE2 will leave Dubai in a "gala sail off" on Ocrober 18 with stops at Singapore and Hong Kong before arriving at an unspecified China shipyard where work will begin to transform it into an all-suite hotel, said the BBC.
