Queen Victoria christened
Queen Victoria, the latest of the Cunard’s Queens, is preparing for her maiden world voyage on January 6 2008 following her christening on Monday.
The honour was performed by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in a colourful ceremony in front of 2000 guests, including many VIPs and celebrities.

“Every one of our Cunard Queens has been named by a member of the Royal Family and we are delighted that Queen Victoria follows in this regal tradition,” said Carol Marlow, president and managing director of Cunard Line.
Queen Victoria will make her inaugural visits to Australia and New Zealand in February as part of her maiden voyage.
She’ll call at Melbourne on February 21, followed by Sydney on February 23, Brisbane on February 26 and Port Douglas on February 29.
In Sydney, she will join her famous sister Queen Elizabeth 2 – visiting Australia on her final world voyage – for a history-making royal rendezvous on February 24, 2008.
