Rise in searches for all-inclusive packages as pound tumbles
Price comparison website Icelolly.com is reporting an 8% increase in searches for all-inclusive packages next summer, suggesting customers are keen to fix the cost of their holidays as the pound continues to fluctuate.
It said it also saw a 20% rise in searches for six and eight night stays in September, and an 11% increase in searches for departures by region as air fares are one of the best ways to save money.
Chief executive Andrew Latham said: "These findings highlight that customers are recognising that by booking earlier, they can access the best deals, guaranteeing costs and avoiding any potential inflation due to the devaluation of the pound."
Icelolly said a 14% increase in revenue in the first six months of the year and handles more than 130 million offers a day.
