Rocky Mountaineer suspends all departures through July
Rocky Mountaineer has once again extended its service hibernation until the end of July.
It had suspended departures from April 13 to June 30, and will now stay off the rails until July 31.
It is due to the ongoing government restrictions, to ease the spread of Covid-19, the company says.
"With numerous travel restrictions in place globally, airlines having limited flight availability, many of our operational partners having suspended their services, and other challenges, it has become impossible for us to start our operations in July," said Steve Sammut, , Rocky Mountaineer president and CEO.
Guests booked on a cancelled departure will get a travel credit worth 110% of the original value which is valid for use through the end of the 2022 season.
It will also hold all 2021 rail fares at 2020 levels.
Guests should rebook for new dates with Rocky Mountaineer or their travel advisor by November 30, 2021.
"We hope we can make it as seamless as possible for our guests to plan their future travel," Sammut added.
