SAA releases fares for new Perth flight

South African Airways, which last week announced that it would fly daily from Perth to South Africa from August 17 – adding an extra weekly flight – has followed up by releasing new fares on the route.

SAA country manager for Australasia, Tim Clyde-Smith, said the airline is selling fares out of Perth to Johannesburg return from as little as $1505, including taxes.

"Return economy fares include Perth-Johannesburg from $1505, Perth-Cape Town from $1750, Perth-Nairobi from $1969 and Perth-Mauritius from $2194," he said.

Passengers must leave on SAA’s new Friday flight which commences on August 17 with return on any day subject to availability.

Fares are available from August 17 until November 30 and from January 18 until March 29, 2013. Tickets are on sale now until June 30.

SAA has updated flight schedules from August 17 from Perth as follows: SA281 will depart Perth at 2350 each day, arriving into Johannesburg at 0455 the following morning.

SA280 will depart Johannesburg at 2235 arriving into Perth at 1325 the next day.
