SeaWorld chief’s shock resignation
SeaWorld Entertainment chief executive Gus Antorcha has resigned after just seven months in the job following a disagreement with the board.
Antorcha was previously chief operating officer at Carnival Cruise Line.
SeaWorld chief finance official Marc Swanson has stepped in as interim chief with immediate effect.
"Mr Antorcha informed the Company that his resignation was due to disagreements over the board’s involvement in the decision making at the Company," SeaWorld said in a filing.
The board of directors has instructed an executive search firm to help in the recruitment of a permanent replacement.
