Singapore Airlines narrows Q1 loss
Singapore Airlines (SIA) narrowed first quarter losses to just over $300 million, thanks to strong cargo sales. Overall revenue was up 52% on last year for the three months to 30 June.
SIA’s passenger traffic is now at 28% of pre-Covid-19 levels, it said. The airline expects to increase capacity to about 33% of pre-Covid-19 levels by the end of September. As at end-June, the group’s network covered 62 overseas destinations.
