Tenth anniversary for CARTA
CARTA has a varied line-up of speakers that it hopes will bring lively debate to its conference next month.
The conference, which will mark CARTA’s (Campaign for Real Travel Agents) tenth anniversary, is being held in Waterford, Ireland on June 10-13.
The conference aims to examine how CARTA intends to work more closely with AITO. Speakers include Holidayandmore.com general manager Carol Dray, CAA’s Helen Simpson and Sunday Times freelance journalist Mark Hodson.
CARTA chairman Andrew Brownrigg said: “This year’s conference promises to be full of lively debate on industry issues that affect us all. The travel industry is changing at a rapid rate and the combined forces of CARTA and AITO are at the cutting edge of the business – from new destinations to new technology and from responsible tourism to issues of bonding.”
The conference is sponsored by Tourism Ireland, Irish Ferries, Kirker Holidays, Complete Caribbean and the CAA. The event will include the CARTA Marketplace, a series of presentations and CARTA’s inaugural awards ceremony that will recognise the best AITO specialist agent and best operator.
