Tiger dumps more Adelaide services
Tiger Airways says it is working to retain Adelaide staff after suspending “underperforming” flights between Adelaide and Brisbane and Adelaide and the Gold Coast.
Flights will end on November 10.
The airline says all passengers who have booked flights on or after that date will be offered a refund or helped to make alternative arrangements.
Tiger’s communication manager, Vanessa Regan, said,
"We treat route suspensions as temporary. If sufficient demand returns we’ll definitely consider returning these routes."
Regan said Tiger is focussed on keeping its 80 Adelaide staff in jobs.
"Overall there are actually no service reductions around Australia so there are job opportunities right around Australia.
In July, Tiger cut the only direct flights between Adelaide and Hobart.
