Twiggy and Gordon Ramsay help promote London
Joanna Lumley, Twiggy, and Gordon Ramsay have been lined up to help promote London as part of a new marketing campaign.
In a series of films designed to encourage visitors to the capital, Ramsay reveals why he loves he Royal Albert Bridge, Lumley gushes about her love of duck ponds and the chimes of Big Ben, and London Mayor Boris Johnson tells how he likes nothing better than cycling to Hackney and tucking into sausage and mash in his favorite pub.
Designed to give a personal side to London, the ‘London Story‘ also features other passionate Londoners, including Rebecca Holmes, a make-up artist at Madame Tussauds London, Beefeater Barney Chandler, Chris Gibbons, a tour guide at Wembley Stadium, Royal London Parks manager Mark Wasilewski and Richard Clayforth, a senior manager at perfumer Penhaligon’s.
The campaign launches as tourism figures show that for the first time in history the city is on course to welcome over 16 million overseas visitors in one year.
