Virgin Blue buys new $61 million office
Virgin Blue has paid $61 million for a new national HQ at Breakfast Creek in Bowen Hills, Brisbane with the new building due for completion in March next year.
Currently rather shoe-horned into an office building in Fortitude Valley, Virgin Blue CEO Brett Godfrey said that the purchase of the 12,400 square metre A-grade office building would benefit the growing airline, adding, “Since Virgin Blue was established in Brisbane in 1999 our operations and team have increased significantly and the campus-style accommodation at Bowen Hills will provide us with the space we need to continue our expansion, also in close proximity to the CBD and the airport.”
The Sunland development on Edmonstone Road will feature three, three-level office buildings and 160 car parking spaces.
