Welsh budget hotel and Yorkshire B&B named best in world
A budget hotel in North Wales and a B&B in North Yorkshire have been named the best in the world.
Lawton Court Hotel in the Welsh resort of Llandudno scooped the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award for best budget hotel, while Millgate Bed and Breakfast in Masham, Yorkshire, won best B&B.
The annual awards are based on millions of reviews by guests posted on TripAdvisor throughout the year.
Out of a total of 235 guest reviews for Lawton Court, which only opened last year, 233 rated it as excellent while two said it was very good.
Millgate B&B received 355 excellent reviews, three very good and one average.
London’s Haymarket Hotel was named by TripAdvisor as the best in the UK, while Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives won the title of World’s Top Hotel for 2015.
