What would you do about sticky air travel situations?
The child seated behind you is kicking your airline seat? Distractingly loud music? That type of behavior is among "sticky" travel situations that would prompt some of the most immediate responses, according to a new survey.
A child kicking one’s airplane seat would prompt 73% of those polled to take action, and distractingly loud music or movies would stir almost 74% percent to action, according to Travel Leaders Group.
When asked, "If another airline passenger seated near you won’t turn off his/her cell phone while in flight, what would you do," slightly more than one-third said they would call a flight attendant to handle the situation, 27.1% said they would say something directly to the person, and 23.9% said they would sit quietly and say nothing.
When asked, "If another airline passenger seated near you is using headphones to listen to music or a movie and the sound is so loud that everyone around him/her can also hear, what would you do," the most common responds from 47% was that they would say something directly to the person asking them to turn it down.
When asked, "If a child was seated behind you on an airplane and constantly kicked your seat, what would you do," the most common response was that 62.8% said they would turn around and say something directly to the parent or child.
