Wyndham plans eight new Ramada hotels in China
Wyndham Hotel Group plans to accelerate its footprint in China with eight new Ramada brand hotels nationwide.
Wyndham has kicked off the expansion with the opening of the 156-room Ramada Nanjing, while announcing signings for seven more hotels in Jiangsu, Hubei, Shandong and Sichuan provinces.
All new properties are slated to open by the end of 2017, the company said.
"With these newest properties, we’re strengthening the brand’s footprint in China and expanding its reach into what we believe to be key second-tier and third-tier cities," said Leo Liu, president and managing director for Wyndham Greater China.
Also expected to open this year is the 245-room Ramada Plaza Chibi in Hubei, which will feature three restaurants, business centre, meeting rooms, swimming pool and gym.
The six remaining properties will open during 2017.
These have been unveiled as the 150-room Ramada Encore Emeishan, the 200-room Ramada Encore Shanghai Hongqiao, the 200-room Ramada Dongying, the 243-room Ramada Guangzhou Conghua, the 300-room Ramada Suzhou and the 200-room Ramada Jining.
