Another price hike at Disney World
Admission prices are being raised again at Walt Disney World in Florida, for the second time in less than a year.
A single-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom will rise by $4 and will now cost $99 for visitors aged 10 and over.
Children up to 9 years old will pay $93 for a one-day ticket, while under 3’s will continue to gain free admission.
There were also price hikes of $4 on admission to the resort’s other theme parks at Epcot, Disney Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
The previous price rise in June last year also encompassed Disneyland California, although this latest hike is limited to Florida attractions so far.
Disney World has spent heavily on the recently launched MyMagic+ ticketing technology which includes MagicBand bracelets, offering an all-in-one admission ticket, guestroom key and virtual credit card.
Disney hopes the project, believed to have cost $1.5 billion, will give more detailed insights into customer spending habits and ultimately lead to visitors spending more time and money on site.
