Bangkok Airways, Turkish Airlines launch new codeshare partnership
Bangkok Airways has begun a new codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines offering customers more streamlined journeys between Turkey and Southeast Asia.
The agreement which is now effective covers 16 Bangkok Airways domestic and international short haul routes.
They include Bangkok and Samui to Phuket.
An additional two routes linking Bangkok to Siem Reap and Phnon Penh, Cambodia will be added pending regulatory approval.
"As one of the important gateways to Asia Pacific in the region, our passengers will benefit and enjoy greater convenience when connecting to popular Thailand domestic destinations," said Turkish Airlines’ CEO Bilal Eksi.
Turkish Airlines is the only carrier which connects the two countries nonstop.
Its customers will get lounge access as part of the codeshare arrangement.
"This will offer business and leisure travelers enhanced connectivity and seamless access while traveling in Thailand and our neighbouring countries," said Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, president of Bangkok Airways.
