Club Med claims strong summer sales
The strong euro has led to a rise in bookings for all-inclusive holidays, according to Club Med.
The operator says it has seen a 10% growth for summer 2008 bookings compared to last year with its recently-launched luxury portfolio, particularly in Morocco and Mauritius, doing well.
It says short haul for summer 2008 has been a strong performer. Club Med resorts in Turkey have seen an increase of 44% on sales, Italy is up 22% and Tunisia sales are up 18%.
The revamped Club Med resort Gregolimano on the Greek island of Evia has also seen renewed interest with 65% growth for summer 2008 whilst Club Med Beldi in Turkey is seeing growth of 167%.
