EasyJet flight diverted over low fuel scare
A low fuel warning forced an easyJet flight to divert to Luton Airport instead of London Gatwick. The flight from Santorini touched down at Luton over fears it may run out of fuel waiting for a landing slot at Gatwick.
However, that was not the end of the disruption for passengers. They were only able to reclaim bags at Gatwick due to staffing issues at Luton.
Even when they arrived by road at Gatwick, the ordeal wasn’t over. Gatwick was unable to offload the luggage which was sent to passengers’ homes the following day.
