Head of sales quits in cruise line shake-up
Island Cruises head of sales Lindsay Dixon has left the company following an “evaluation” of the senior management structure.
She has been replaced by former American Airlines UK and Ireland sales director Leslie Peden who joins the cruise line in the newly created position as director of sales. Peden was formerly UK and Ireland sales director for Royal Caribbean International.
He will report to managing director Patrick Ryan, formerly Royal Caribbean’s managing director for Europe, and oversee strategic sales activities, distribution and call centres.
A statement from Island Cruises said an “evaluation of the senior management structure” had taken place to “support the continued expansion of Island Cruises and to exploit new market and distribution opportunities.”
It said the review resulted in Dixon deciding to leave the company “in order to pursue her future career.”
