Hogg Robinson names new chairman
Hogg Robinson has named former GlaxoSmithKline executive, John Coombe, as its new chairman.
He will take over on April 1 from Neville Bain who is retiring.
A statement from the business agency said Bain, who has been with Hogg Robinson for eight years, is to focus on his recent appointment as chairman of the Institute of Directors.
Coombe, former chief financial officer at the pharmaceutical giant, will add “weight and experience” to an already strong brand, according to chief executive David Radcliffe.
“He is a rounded businessman who is experienced in operating at board level in a global company,” he said.
Coombe added: “As a client in my former role I experienced Hogg Robinson’s excellent and attentive service at first hand and was also impressed by their approach to adding real value at a corporate level.”
Hogg Robinson will become known as HRG from April 3.
