Passengers offered Princess Cruises’ loyalty program
Australians and New Zealanders who sail with, Princess Cruises can join the line’s loyalty program. Known as the Captain’s Circle, it’s the first time the program has been offered to cruisers from downunder.
“Our new loyalty program is designed to recognise and reward our past passengers whose commitment to Princess has helped us build our presence in both the Australian and New Zealand markets,” said Mark Barnes, the Vice-President of Marketing for Princess Cruises in Australia.
There are three levels of membership – Gold, Platinum and Elite – and the program offers a range of benefits including preferential pricing offers, onboard invitations to events and a quarterly newsletter featuring the latest news and competitions.
The program has been offered in preparation for the debut of the 1950-passenger Sun Princess in Sydney [pictured last week squeezing under the Harbour Bridge], in November.
Sun Princess will be the largest liner ever based in Australia year-round, and will be joined in local waters by sister ship Dawn Princess which will offer a season of cruising from Australia during the 2008-09 summer.
Meanwhile, Princess Cruises’ Sapphire Princess will offer a series of cruises between Australia and New Zealand from January to April 2008.
Mr Barnes said membership would automatically apply to passengers booked on cruises taken after September 1, 2007. Membership will also be extended to past passengers who can confirm details of previous cruises.
Passengers who have sailed on at least one Princess cruise are eligible for Gold membership, passengers who sail on five cruises, or accumulate 50 cruise days, qualify for Platinum, while Elite members need to have completed 15 cruises, or 150 cruise days.
Passengers can find out more about Princess Captain’s Circle by logging onto the Circle Centre at www.princess.com or by calling 1300 300 528.
