Safety concerns raised over planes returning to service
Airlines are being urged to take extra care when returning aircraft to service following the pandemic. Safety experts say rusty pilots, poor maintenance and even insect risks could jeopardise their safety. Already the international aviation body IATA is warning that there has been a recent rise in the number of ‘unstabilised approaches’ to airports and one aircraft crashed on landing earlier this year.
