Tesco retail and marketing guru to speak at ABTA Convention
Clive Humby, the creator of the Tesco Clubcard, will close the first day’s business sessions at the ABTA Travel Convention in Tenerife in November.
A respected retail and marketing gurus, Humby is chairman of retail and marketing consultants dunnhumby.
He will highlight some of the lessons learnt from the runaway success of Tesco, one of his major clients.
“Clive has innovated work in marketing segmentation and retail marketing, and works on behalf of many of the world’s leading blue-chip companies,” said an ABTA spokeswoman.
“He will bring his outstanding experience and expertise to a key session on the opening day of The Travel Convention.”
Mark Tanzer, ABTA chief executive, said: “Customer relationship management is at the heart of everyone’s business. I am very much looking forward to hearing Clive Humby’s insights.”
