Travelodge to open six hotels by Christmas
Travelodge is to open six hotels in the lead up to Christmas.
The £45 million investment will create 135 new job and will boost the company’s portfolio to 595 hotels in the UK, Ireland and Spain.
The six Travelodge hotels opening over the next 12 weeks includes a ‘budget chic’ Travelodge Plus hotel in Edinburgh; a third property in Chippenham as well as two more in London, in Dagenham and Beckton.
Rochester and Sittingbourne will have their first Travelodge properties.
Spokesperson Shakila Ahmed said: "Despite the uncertainty facing the UK, the long-term prospects for low-cost hotels remain strong.
"In the lead up to Christmas, we are extending our hotel network and creating jobs. We are focused on ensuring that we can give consumers the right choice, in the right place, at the right price."
